Hi all! Thanks so much to everyone who ordered. A temporary solution has been found and the situation is no longer dire. As such, I am closing fundraiser commission slots. I may reopen them sometime in the future as Koko could still use any help we can give, but for now I need to focus on my current to-do list before I scramble my brain. The current batch I'm working on will be completed in the order they were received. I'm still on track to have them done by the end of February, but sooner if I can wrangle it. =)

Hi folks! I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday season!

Unfortunately, a friend of mine is ending the year in a really tough situation. I won't get into all the gritty details, but the short version is that they've been saving up and apartment shopping but their parents have decided to be typically awful and expedite the process by kicking them out before they're ready. They've been told they can only stay at home until January 31, 2024. They were told this on December 28, 2023.

In order to help them raise the money they need for a deposit and to get their feet under them, I thought I'd do a little fundraiser. Please see the link below for details and a menu of commission options at a discounted rate.

All you need to do is make a donation to their Ko-Fi, then screenshot proof of your payment and send it to me. You can redact any information you don't want me to have, but please leave the amount of your donation clear and your username or at least the first part of your email so I can confirm your identity and payment.

I'm offering everything from cute little chibis to busts to full-blown illustrations, to funky blind redesigns of your existing characters. I'll draw your OCs, ARPG characters, TTRPG heroes and villains, whatever!

I'm usually at least a bit on the busy side starting in about September - October-ish every year, but this year is a doozy. It's going to be worth it, and also super satisfying when it's all done, but I'm a little overwhelmed, if I'm being honest. To get my thoughts in order, I thought I'd make a little checklist here. Maybe it'll interest some folks?

I'll be updating this as I go to track my progress. ... if I remember. Big if. =P

TL;DR - Commissions are closed at least until the end of the year, and I am a very busy silph. If you hear a mad cackling echoing through the dark nights, it's me. I've gone out of my mind.

October:

Next year I'll be looking at making better progress on some other projects that have, for a variety of reasons, fallen by the wayside (like Anger Ham and my Boucle design and ref backlog) but for now... this is enough, thank you kindly! Wish me luck!

Hey all! I posted about this in the discord LF channel, but I thought I'd post something here as well, just in case.

I recently started a project to design myself an entire Boucle Unicorn Major Arcana! I have my first 6 tarot foals (plus 1 pending) but there are 22 cards total and this is gonna take a while. I will be able to breed for some, but most of the genos I've collected so far are relatively closely related and I need to branch out.

With that in mind, I want your tarot genos and slots!

What I'm looking for:

I'd like to submit a set of Tarot breedings in June - classiques or batailles, either is fine. I'm not super fussy what the rest of the geno looks like.

If classique, one slot is perfectly fine.

If bataille, I'd very much like a backup because my bat luck has so far been pretty bad. =P

Alternatively, if you have Tarot genos you'd like to offload, I'm your gal! Un-designed only, please.

I've had a few people tell me they'd like to have a design from me, and I am currently unemployed, so... maybe we help each other out? =P (disclaimer: I'm not in a bad place, financially. This is not an appeal for help. I'd just like a little buffer in the ol' paypal to cover the occasional extra.)

I'm really not sure how to price these things, so I did a little research and I came up with what I think is probably fair based on time and effort? However, I'll be monitoring things to see if prices need to be adjusted in either direction. While I cannot currently take XP, slots, trades, dA points, etc, I may be open to these in the future.

Here's the menu. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in a comment, via note, or through discord (I'm in the boucle group, same username). Ordering can be done through the same channels.

Prices are in CAD. When you order, I will send an itemized paypal invoice for payment. Production will begin after you have paid.

Base Coat -- Select one. All tiers include Residual White for free.

-- Plain - $10 - Any basic, natural, or simple base coats. Rouge, Brun, Noir, Champagne, Soir, Brasier, Aqua, etc. Does not include combination coats such as Chocolat Bonbon Swirl, etc. Any coat that will be covered by Dominant White is categorized as Plain automatically, provided nothing shows above it. 1 mutation max, no 3D mutations. -- Simple - $12 - Very simple designs, very few genes, no 3D mutations. Example: Arianwyn Archana, Cailleach Bheara -- Detailed - $12-25 - Designs requiring extra detail, multiple genes interacting, or 1-2 3D genes that need to be drawn by hand. Examples: Candycane Carnival, Champagne Wishes -- Complex - $25-40 - Designs requiring lots of detail, multiple 3D genes, multiple extended genes, Deguise, etc. Examples: Old Fashioned Extravagance, Aquarius Midnight -- Ancient's Blessing or Corrupted - $40-60 - Complex, detailed designs that will take a lot of redrawing and creativity. I have not yet completed a design in either of these categories, but I am working on two AB WIPs at the moment, and am willing to try.

Add-Ons - Select as many as are relevant and add the total cost to your chosen base coat for the final price.

-- FREE - Any Birth Anomalies that come with the basic lineset; Basic birthstones/-metals/-decors (including old retired stones, ie sapphire, cat's eye). Includes Alternate Birthstone I and II. -- Two-Sided Design - +50% base price - Design shows both sides - ie, one full version, one without 3D muts, or to show glow effects, etc. Example: Stained Glass Valentine -- Gemcoat/ Metalcoat - $2 - Monthly colours, extended to theme/ tint any other visible genes, mutations, etc. Example: L918 -- Multiple Bouclites - $2 each - Dual or Trial stones that are not separated by extra horns. -- Event Bouclite - $2-5 each - Design includes an event stone. Price varies based on the complexity of the event stone. IE, frost or candy cane stone vs firework or twinkle lights stone. -- Visible Birth Defects - $5 each - Design includes visible BDs that need to be drawn in or edited separately. IE, Hornless, Stunted or Overgrown horn, Cyclops, Triclops, Deformed horn, etc. -- Hand-Drawn Birth Anomalies - $5 each - Design includes any BA edits that don't appear in the basic lineset. IE Gemini/ Cerberus, Geode, etc -- Event Coat - $10-$15 each - Design includes an event coat (Paradise, Wayfinder, Fruit, etc). Price increases based on the requested complexity of the coat (ie, a simple star map vs a full, painted Paradise scene), and if there are multiple event coats interacting. Examples: Eadrich, Bellendath -- Encrusted - $20 - While these BDs can look simple, they will require almost a complete redraw to account for so much raw crystal and stony material distorting the silhouette.

Turnaround time for most designs should be no more than a week, usually in the range of 2-3 days. It really depends on the design itself - the more details required, the longer it will take - as well as how many designs I have in my queue. I can make no estimates for ABs or Corrupted designs - they have potential to take quite a while, particularly if you don't already have a concept in mind.
